Pastor Jeff Woodroof - You Will Be Missed
Plattsburg United Church of Christ’s beloved Pastor Jeff Woodroof passed away on Thursday,
January 13th, 2022, from complications from Covid. Pastor Jeff served as Plattsburg’s Pastor for four
and a half years. His love of God and his desire to be a faithful disciple of the Lord empowered him to
bring many wonderful and meaningful worship services to the congregation.
Pastor Jeff had a very witty and comical personality that could always make you smile and laugh even in
difficult times. He had a heart of gold that was kind and caring. He touched many families in our church
and our community in their times of need with his spiritual guidance.
Pastor Jeff had a strong passion for staying in touch with the elderly that were home bound and not able
to attend worship service. He also loved teaching and working with the children and young adults in the
church. He was always there and willing to volunteer and assist with any project and/or special event
that was taking place at the church.
Pastor Jeff taught us all that as children of God, we need to stay united, spread the good news that God
is great, and reach out to those in need, love one another, and always remain good stewards of the
Lord. He will be deeply missed by all. We say thank you Pastor Jeff, you have been a gift to our church
and to this world, Well Done, good and faithful servant.
